THE JUNTA is BORN! Followed by the first airing on 94.4FM SALFORD CITY RADIO of the original version of EAT MY DUST.
THE JUNTA and ORCA were to follow,the intention was to release them on a debut E.P. "WHO IS THE JUNTA?".....which never materialised!! Tut Tut!

Salford band SALFORD MEDIA CITY had previously in MARCH thrown the gauntlet down and asked local musicians to remix their track DOING STUFF IS FUN, by putting downloadable stems on their website. The best remixes would be released as a remix e.p. entitled DOING REMIXES IS FUN.

As a finale,BIG DIGITAL PROJECT comes to ALBERT SQUARE in MANCHESTER. A bigger affair this time featuring mime artists,and large projectors reflect onto the facia of MANCHESTER TOWN HALL,while round the corner on LLOYD STREET, videos and images are projected up onto the overhead bridges. Among the many tracks provided as a soundtrack, the whole album ART OF GLASS gets its full public airing to a fantastic visual display. A major JUNTA coup!!

STOP PRESS! Debut JUNTA gig announced..THURSDAY 25th SEPTEMBER 2014 at WANGIES BAR,Liverpool Road,Eccles,SALFORD. More bands to be announced, opening day of the Fifth SALFORD MUSIC FESTIVAL .
The festival runs from 25th-28th September. Not only will MONTY be playing 25th Sept, but also playing bass for newly reformed predecessor to POSITRONIK, PEARL DIVERS on FRIDAY 26th SEPT at ASHLEY BROOK,Liverpool Street,Salford.
And date to be announced for KIT B on same festival.

My first live gig arrived! On the opening night of the Fifth SALFORD MUSIC FESTIVAL, couldn't have hoped for a better venue than my drinking haunt WANGIES BAR in ECCLES.
With special guests RONIN and MUTHA LOVING CHIMPS.
Next gig is on FRIDAY 5th DECEMBER at THE CRESCENT, SALFORD as part of GERMAN SHEPHERD RECORDS SHOWCASE. Also featuring JOHANN KLOOS, LOOP AZNAVOUR,FACTORY ACTS and POPPYCOCK. Also I shall be doing a JUNTA DJ Set in between bands...

Played a short set for my very good friend ALEX STASZKO's joint 50th BIRTHDAY BASH with LEE EDDOWES & YVES at SOUND CONTROL in MANCHESTER. Brilliant day had by all, commencing 8pm.
THE JUNTA did a short 20 minute set featuring a specially recorded instrumental version of NEW ORDER's "TOUCHED BY THE HAND OF GOD" simply entitled GOD, plus EAT MY DUST,and NOVA ( SHINE A LIGHT ON ME) a VNV NATION cover. Plus also got to play bass on stage with his other band KIT B. And invited on stage with Y KEY OPERATORS to play tambourine!!!

Played a fab gig with former guests on THE MONTY SHOW, The Electric Cheese, and the fabulous Mr Heart, at the Dulcimer on Wilbraham Road in Chorlton, Manchester. Great turn-out for the gig, thanks folks. Big thanks to Tamsin, Amy & Helen, and to Jason and The Cheeses for putting on the gig. Was a bit under the weather, i.e. lost my voice!! So I performed live for the first time, my cover of VISAGE's "The Damned Don't Cry"
